A $60988 gift from the Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation (PCFF) was made to UHKF to be directed to two prostate cancer research projects led by Dr. Robert Siemans and Dr. Deb Feldman-Stewart. The donation was funded through proceeds from the 2011 Kingston-Quinte Motorcycle Ride for Dad. Creating an army of chrome and leather, hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts from across Canada venture onto the highways each spring to raise funds and increase public awareness of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation (PCFF) has donated almost $400000 to Kingston hospitals for prostate cancer research through their annual Motorcycle Ride for Dad fundraiser. The net proceeds from local events are donated to the national PCFF organization which then grants funds for prostate cancer research. The 2012 event takes place Saturday, May 26 at the Thomson Drill Hall at Canadian Forces Base Kingston. All are welcome to participate.
