Fluid Containment – A Simple Solution For Industrial Fluid Containment Challenges

Do you handle or store a lot of chemical liquids? It can cost a business if those chemicals aren’t managed properly. however, proper fluid containment is not rocket science. Read on for an easy solution. But what if your machinery or plant is on the road or assigned to a site and you need to make sure oils or other fluids don’t pollute the environment? After all, breakdowns do occur from time to time. That’s where things can get tricky. You can’t just let oil spill onto the ground like they did 50 years ago. Environmental contamination is an issue that can cost an organization a great deal either in monetary compensation by way of civil law suits or they can get fined by a judgment in a criminal suit. It can also severely damage the reputation of any business. You definitely don’t want that, do you? There’s an easy solution So what you probably need for these complex mobile jobs is something that can be placed underneath the vehicle or machinery and then inflated into a sort of pool to contain the fluids. And luckily enough, there is such a thing — a mobile containment berm. Mobile containment berms are becoming big business because of their practicality. there are a number of similar products on the market right now- in all sorts of different variations and sizes- that can make your life a whole lot easier if you need to contain leaking fluids while servicing mobile vehicles and equipment. So how does it work? It’s a lot like an inflatable pool, only stronger. The berm has a simple sidewall construction that allows the walls to remain flat so that they can be entered or exited from any side. You can drive a truck, or anything else you like over it, park and then begin whatever work needs to be done. They’re also simple to use. Setup can take less than a minute in some cases, which is very handy for situations that need to be dealt with fast. Once the vehicle is parked, the walls will then rise automatically when there’s leaking fluid. there are no side walls to manually put up or hinges to break, which makes such a berm much more practical than a mechanical device. You can even use it multiple times even on the same day if you need to. There are a number of available options, including things like ground tarps and track mats that help you to do your job. Sizes can vary greatly because vehicles and machinery come in so many different sizes and types. You can start at 4ft x 6ft x 1ft for the smallest option, while the largest berm is 15ft x 66ft x 1ft.
