Kentucky Cancer Program: Colon Cancer Awareness

Each year in March we observe Colon Cancer Awareness Month and the National Dress in Blue Day. The Kentucky Cancer Program continues a statewide public awareness campaign about colon cancer, the second leading cause of cancer death in Kentucky and in the Nation. Jamie Smith, Cancer Control Specialist for the Kentucky Cancer Program, is joined by Madeline Abramson, Honorary Chair for DIBD; Kathryn Joyner, Marketing Coordinator at Western Baptist Hospital; Harriet Byers, Endoscopy Technician at Western Baptist Hospital; and Debbi Bendel, Colorectal Cancer Survivor.
